Don’t worry, be happy…

Just this morning I took my dogs on a walk. They are getting old; they turn 13 this month and share a birthday month with their mama. As busy as my life is, I try to remember that I am their life. I take them bye-bye when I can, and do my very best to get in as many walks, hugs, and treats as I can. So we were walking this AM, I turned the corner in my neighborhood and decided to try out my new golf stance, in the middle of the road, mind you. Hey, when duty calls, duty calls. lol
After resuming our walk I looked over and saw a man in his carport, I giggled thinking he must have thought I was crazy, pausing the middle of the road to assume a golf stance. If he even knew what I was doing. After that I started to think of all of the things I have to do, and for a moment I crept into place where you are totally overwhelmed. You know what I’m talking about, don’t ya? But then a really cool thing happened. I found myself in a shaded spot on the walk, and the wind began to blow on cue. Being a spiritual person, I knew that it was GOD saying, “no worries, my child, I got this (in so many words).” The shade and the cool breeze at the very moment I was starting to get overwhelmed was from Him. This I am sure of, as sure as I know the sun rises in the morning, and sets in the evening. It was His way of giving me a wink or an atta-girl! I threw my head back and let the wind blow through my hair, while giving thanks. I couldn’t help but sport an ear-to-ear grin while basking in the moment. For some reason I looked to my left and saw another neighbor watching me from her carport, as she got into her car. She smiled at me, a knowing smile, and I smiled back. Apparently she had also witnessed my moment of joy. It was pretty cool to know someone had shared that beautiful moment of unaltered joy with me. Maybe, hopefully, I touched her in someway. That is why we are here, after all!
I walked home with a joyful, light heart, excited for ALL of the possibilities this day and this life. My hope for you is that you throw your head back and let the wind blow through your hair (either literally or figuratively), cast your cares on the wind (and Him), and LIVE this life. All while the ditty “Don’t Worry be Happy” plays in your head. Have a great day!!
