I had one of those breakthrough moments today. A moment where you are rewarded for pushing through and staying the course.
I was headed to the driving range this AM and, well, things just started to happen to eat into my pratice time. I almost didn’t go, because I would’ve only had 25 minutes once I got to the range. Something in me said to go anyway, and I heeded the call. Once on the range I warmed up with my irons, knowing the real work was with my driver. I have been struggling with this part of my game for a while, and today was no different; but I pressed on. When out of nowhere my coach showed up. He had a couple of minutes between lessons and came to my aide. We worked on couple of small tweaks and VOILA, I hit the MOST beautiful driver shot I’ve ever hit in my life. He teased me that Iwas still watching the shot, long after it was over. What can I say? I needed to bask in my momentary glory.
The lesson I learned here is, if it is important to you, you WILL make time; and if you make time, you (it) will get better.
I love golf because it parallels life, and so much of what I learn on the course can be applied to my everyday life.
Get after it, folks. This life is not a dress rehearsal.
GOD bless-

Golf is a great game, especially on an early and beautiful summer morning. God is always with us christians, But I just have to think, that he is just a little nearer on a beautiful summer day.
