I will be out in the woods almost everyday. Hike 18-25 miles per week. ¬†——–WE ARE NOW SERIOUS. ¬†TIME WILL GO BY VERY QUICKLY.

9. Tanzanian visa–I will send my passport to TZ Embassy in Washington DC
the-end of Nov——– first week of Dec.————get visa
application on line–don’t put this off–things get crazy around the
holidays————-one can get it at the airport, but many airlines
will not let you board if you don’t have the visa in your passport–just easier also—–when you arrive in TZ after a long flight.

Clothing——-NO COTTON ON MOUNTAIN

1. light weight rain gear
2. socks-light weight for village and safari
3. socks-wool or wicking one /pr/ day on the mountain

4. pants-fleece, gortex, hiking, (layers)——-3 layers on ascent night
5. shirts-fleece, wicking——–your choice when off of mnt–”
6. jackets- gortex, fleece, (down for night-time meal–not hiking)
7. scarves, hats-fleece, wool,-(gloves–light weight for hiking–expedition for final ascent)
8. shoes-hiking boots-gortex/ leather to be waterproofed, crocs,or sandals, tennis shoes (new insoles)
9. poncho that is large enough go over backpack
